Upright Light Microscope
The ZEISS Axiolab 5 upright research microscope was developed for routine microscopy tasks in laboratory work. Its compact and ergonomic design saves space and is easy to transport.
Digital documentation has never been easier. If routine materials laboratory applications place high demands on ergonomic work and efficient digital documentation, the ZEISS Axiolab 5 is the right choice. Since the Smart Microscopy concept does not require additional imaging software or even a PC, the Axiolab 5 is also the first choice from an economic perspective.
• Easy digital documentation
• Smart ergonomics
• More economical and reliable
The ZEISS Axiolab 5 upright light microscope system combined with the Axiocam 208 color microscope cameras provides all the advantages of an intelligent, standalone microscope solution. Camera settings such as white balance, exposure time and image enhancement functions are automatically adjusted. The following items can be easily performed without the need for additional imaging software or even a computer.
• Direct image and video recording
• Control of the camera via OSD (on-screen display) using mouse (and optionally camera)
• Save settings
• Store images with all microscope metadata and scaling information
• Predefine or change image name
• Determine grain sizes, structure, distribution and phases
• Perform rapid on-site analysis
• Mode(s) of material failure: fatigue, corrosion, creep deformation, stress cracks or fractures.
• High-throughput material inspection and documentation
• Incoming goods inspection
• High-quality imaging for publications
• Failure analysis
• Process quality monitoring
• Examining thin sections of rocks and minerals to determine composition
• Classifying anisotropic materials such as calcite, olivine, titanite, or zircon
• Answering questions about refractive indices, cleavages, birefringence, extinction angles, optical path differences, and the number and angle of optical axes
When working on the ZEISS Axiolab 5 microscope system, simply press the Snap button on the right of the stand to acquire the image. It's that easy. The microscope and the connected camera can be controlled without even changing grip, while always focusing on the sample.
The ZEISS Axiolab 5 microscope system offers an easy-to-use, ergonomic user concept tailored to laboratory routine. All main controls, including the Snap button, stage drive, focus adjustment and brightness control, are accessible with one hand.
The ZEISS Axiolab 5 microscope system saves laboratory space and costs because it does not require an additional PC and software. The Smart Microscopy concept also allows the Axiolab 5 to be operated by both expert and non-expert users, ensuring that reliable data is always available within a short time.
